- For those of you who have missed the recent dust-up: FW 5, scheduled for
- April, will contain RTF import/export capability. This is not "true" MS
- Word format, but it is pretty close. RTF retains most of the formatting
- features of a document. WW has had this capability for at least one
- version now and claim it equates to MS Word import/export. The fact is
- you will have to "export" the file from MS Word as an RTF file before you
- can import it.
- An added advantage is that owners of the latest WW, FW5, and MSW will now
- be able to exchange files while retaining most of their formatting. I
- don't know about you, but I take some pride in the results of my page
- formatting efforts. Extra plus, FW5 owners will be able to include their
- documents with their e-mail as attachements, as long as they export them
- this way, and have them read nearly anywhere. I just told a potential
- employer that I lacked that capability. Bummer.
